Not sure where this should be posted but thought it was an interesting piece of information.

The two NASA solar satellites, STEREO-A and STEREO-B are coming into superior conjunction with the sun. This means we will be losing the high resolution data and images flowing out of these satellites through sometime in 2016. There will still be data and images but not of the high quality that are normally sent. The data will be stored onboard the satellites and then transmitted once they are out of conjunction. I would think a third or fourth satellite in the same, but delayed, orbit position would eliminate this issue but, of course, the cost would be too much to justify doing that.
