INCOMPATIBLE LOGGER MESSAGE FOR 6540 ON VANTAGE PRO2

Hi All,
 
I purchased Davis Vantage Pro2 last year with following specs:
 
Product:              #6312EU
Mfg Code:          AA120920060
Mode No:           6152 EU
The software version installed in the console is : 3.00 EU
 
And recently I bought
 
6540 APRS Streaming Data logger with:
Mfg Code: A70306A51
Date on the box: May 02 2007
 
When I installed the logger in the extention slot in the console and power up (without any PC connection) I got two consequtive beeps and later
“INCOMPATIBLE LOGGER” message shown on the screen.
 
How can I solve this problem?

Got a similar problem with my WL connected to a replacement (#6351EU) console.
Did you find a solution to it?

Contact the seller of that logger, and insist that they supply a "green dot" compatible logger, rather than the old model that they sold to you.
