Wind run is the total distance that the wind has traveled during a particular period of time in a particular direction.

Hmm.. I see - but I'm not sure I understand the graph.  Is the Y-axis tenths of miles?  If so, is the graph showing the distance the wind has traveled at a certain time (3:00pm, 5:30pm, etc.)?!?

I would think it would show the distance in a certain time period (like 10min, 30 min, etc).
