Thanks for the compliments. Its a gray and cloudy day here so not much contrast. Not much to see except for the terminal facilities at "Hooterville Intl. Airport"! (Remember Green Acres?) LOL

At night about the only thing in view is the Stevenson screen. What is amazing is that it can be dark outside and while in low light mode it still looks like the sun is out. Eventually it reaches a threshold and the IR kicks in after that with a black and white picture.

My server provider is having some tech problems today so you may have to wait and reload to get the picture to show.

How about a picture of your camera and wireless setup at the field?  If not that's fine.

I am planning a post and write up about my weather station soon, but I'm not quite ready yet. I want to finish building the fence around the station and get a few of the sensors in their permanent spot and sorted out first. I am running a Davis VP2 and I have separated the temp/humidity and rain gauge from the ISS board. I have the anemometer mounted on top of a Rohn 33ft. tower. The temp/humidity sensors live inside the Stevenson screen. The rain gauge will soon be mounted on a 2ft. pedestal inside an Alter windshield. I am trying to adhere to NWS guidelines about sensor placement as close as is possible. I am using the Ubiquity Nanostation to communicate the half mile back to my house. The whole setup is solar powered with 12v batteries and so far has worked flawlessly.

Mine is on order. I thought on these cameras you have to insert the CD and change the IP from the default to one of your own and insert your Gateway IP. I will figure it out.

Changing the IP is the most annoying "feature", by default they do not have DHCP enabled and the default assigned IP is on an unusual subnet. There is a utility on the CD to help you find it.

Ment to ask this few days ago but is this camera capable of being wireless?

The camera mounts with a simple center post mounting plate that is swivel adjustable. The cord is in the center of the mounting plate so it can be hidden. The cord will need a hole about 1/2" drilled through your mounting surface due to the size of the waterproof connector that is permanently mounted on the RJ-45 plug end. There is also a small power cord with a female power connector that slips through this same hole. The total pigtail length is around 1 foot. As a side note I was never able to get PoE to work on my camera. I am not sure what the problem is, but it was easy enough for me to use the secondary power input instead.

Not good at all. Has anyone else had success with POE? It uses 14 volts. Correction 12VDC ± 10%, PoE (802.3af)

It may just have been my ignorance on setting the thing up. I am not much of a software guy. I already had 12 v power right there at the camera so I went with what was quickest.

I have my DS-2CD2032-I running on PoE just fine.  I use a TP-Link TL-SF1008P switch (4 PoE and 4 non PoE) to power it and another cam.

Using a TP-Link TL-POE150S POE Injector here, works with no issues.

Well I got the English version. Pretty tricky to set up since i have it connected to a router thats bridged to my main router. Don't have time to mess with it much because I have to go to work. but here is a quick picture. Looks good but could be better if I adjust settings and I ran out of time.

Thanks Joe. Im also using the TP Link POE injector. Highly recommend this camera. For the price this little thing is incredible. I think it puts my Axis to shame.

Made a streaming page for it.
