Here is the West Liberty tornado that I was tracking, it had some intense structure, would have posted sooner but Ive been really busy with schoolwork for the last month or so, and I just finished it all :-)

Very cool.8-)   I take it this is the same cell that eventually moved south of Charleston?

I have been very busy with a lot of schoolwork but its starting to ease so i hope to be on here more :-) And thanks for the compliments!

This was in fact the storm that moved just south of Charleston and although it did have a tornado warning on it, the cell weakened immensely right before hitting the south side of town, which was great news and by the time it hit my area i didnt even have any cg lightning, i captured about 20 radar pics from those storms, there was some great structure

The National Weather Service has confirmed ratings for Friday’s Chattanooga-area tornadoes.

The Harrison tornado in Hamilton County was classified as EF3, which includes winds up to 165 mph, the weather service reported Sunday.

Tornadoes in Monroe and McMinn counties, as well as Cherokee County, N.C., were categorized as EF2, with winds of up to 130 mph.

The weather service said the Monroe County tornado had a width of 400 yards and persisted for nearly 15 miles.

Thats pretty crazy :-( The West Liberty was an EF-3 and the Salyersville tornado was also an EF-3, a tornado that traveled nearly 80 miles

As you all know, we had several tornadoes in TN on 3/2/12.  One of them was around 30 miles to the southeast of where I live, but around two miles south of where I used to live.  We drove down there yesterday, not to gawk, but to go shopping at a store south of there.

We drove through the area hit by the tornado in the community of Cog Hill, TN.  I have never been through a tornado-devistated area before.  You see it TV or see the pictures on the internet or in the newspaper, but I've got to tell you, it doesn't come close to conveying the damage a tornado can do.

Yesterday is a day that I'm sure will stick with me forever.  It is truly sad to see the folks digging through things trying to find anything of value left in the debris.  You hear of "nothing but a foundation" left or "nothing but a slab of concrete" left.  But you can't appreciate it until you see it.

Very luckily, there were no deaths there, although there were some injuries.  I think if more people could see first-hand what can happen, there would be more people preparing for disasters.

Yeah I agree that seeing firsthand what nature can cause could help people go into reality of how bad it could be, when we had our warnings out, i posted on fb the weather situation and got numerous responses of "who cares" and "so what", i was pretty shocked
