CalFire and USFS got a handle on that one quickly, and held it to about 100 acres. Still took a few days for full containment.
I think all of the fire departments around here are down to minimal staffing, having sent everything possible to the fires up north. I had one cousin evacuated due to H. Harvey, and another one evacuated this week in the Norcal fires. They are in Yountville, their home safe for now, no power, no cell phones, so we get an update once a day when they can find WiFi.
In today's LA Times, Robin Abcarian's column is about an older couple who rode out the fire in their neighbor's pool as everything burned around them.
She had tucked her phone into her shoe at the pool’s edge. When she saw it next, it had melted.

We are impacted by the smoke from up north. Orange sunrises and sunsets, a little ash fall, and that subtle tang in the air. This kind of smoke is way more irritating than fireplace or BBQ smoke. Not only is is full of all the man made stuff that burned, but poison oak aerosols as well.
