I'm sure that Mike, the author of the program will send you a key to get rid of the demo.
Couple things about the program.
The warnings are county based instead of storm based. Hopefully this will be fixed in future releases.
Another thing about the warnings is that there are probably about 100 warning types. I didn't know there were that many. Take the time to go through them all and select the ones that are relevant to your area.
The NWS keeps about 24 hours worth of data on file. So if you want to see what that storm looked like yesterday you can DL 24 hours worth of data.
If you keep a particular radar site up all the time all the files are saved to your nexrad 3 folder. They can get quite large over time so it's a good idea to purge the files. With the program saving all those files it also means you can run a loop of that site for as long as you have files saved.
The data source  for the radar data files is hard written into the program so you cannot use a source like Allison House to get files. Same goes for the warnings.
Have fun.

Post some of your custom radar screens.
Always curious to see what some else one came up with.
Oh yea, Katlon. Sorry for me and farmtalk completely hijacking your thread. :-(

Thanks for the heads up!!! I haven't created anything supercool yet, but I will be working on it tonight for sure!!!!!!

And the only radar program that is getting outdated fast is my Storm Predator 3.6..It needs an update :-(

It can upload to a website. The link I posted yesterday was from a version that has that capability.
The problem is right now he's not answering any emails due to some personal issues. You can see it here.
http://www.nexrad3.com/
If you want that version you have to email him so it looks at this time you'll have to wait.

Thats good to know as I was thinking of upgrading soon. I'll have to pass that information on.
Isn't there a compatibility mode in 7 that would allow it to run?

I think you can only save images in the ftp version. Only other way would be print -screen. I'll look into that further.

Does this program have a "smoothing" ability like GR does?

It does but it's not as sophisticated.  GR uses your graphics card to do the smoothing while Nexrad3  uses the processor. It does have settings where you can increase the level of smoothing but I actually think it looks best on the lowest setting. Also with the processor doing the work it takes longer to create each image.
Click on the link and you'll see the difference.

In my opinion, I agree with Ocala. The smoothing on GR is a better presentation, but for my purposes, the smoothing on Nexrad3 is perfectly acceptable. It's not bad as you can tell from Ocala's image. It is definitely better than Storm Predator's in my opinion.....The non-smoothed reflectivity is about the best of any program in my opinion. Plus, Nexrad3 is $40, while GR products are $80, other than GR2A which is $250.

Ok, here's the first picture...This is using my own area that I created which has smoothing enabled...You are able to create an area in Nexrad3 that can have more than one radar in operation...I will show you this in the next post...I'll post about 4 pictures....but since my files are big I can only post them one at a time.

The second picture on the bottom (Yes I somehow got to pics on this post!) is the 3D radar that this program offers, which I'm really liking...

Note, I had to print screen these images because I do not have access to saving them from the program yet, hopefully that will change soon 8-)

Sure thing!!! Smoothing is optional, the color tables are customizable!!!

Here is one more shot, which shows different radars in use at the same time, this time without smoothing...Great for tracking large systems!! :-)

For some reason, on radar sites, not custom areas, I cannot get a background or highways or anything to display under the radar....What do you have to do to get them to display??
