I found this interesting:

Quote
It's Hurricane Season -- "Be Prepared!"

The Atlantic Hurricane Season officially runs from June 1st through November 30th, with the Eastern Pacific Season having begun on May 15th. The 2009 Atlantic season has been fairly quiet so far with only two named storms while the Eastern Pacific has already had six.

A good resource for keeping track of the tropics is the National Hurricane Center's Web site, which gives you up to the minute storm information, marine forecasts, information on how to prepare for a hurricane or tropical storm as well as a history of hurricanes. You can connect to the page by clicking here: Hurricane Center.   http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/index.shtml
