Browser not showing SD card folders in browser **solved**
« on: February 20, 2019, 06:16:17 PM »
New Meteobridge Nano SD owner..  Super noob with a Pro2
Install went just like videos showed
Screenshot shows the included SD card:

Meteobridge NANO SD
RAM:
125572 kB total, 36152 kB free (71% used)
Storage:
swissbit SLC, 1826 MB total, 1788 MB free (2% used)
SW Version:
Meteobridge 3.9 (Feb 5 2019, build 1952), FW 1.3
Uptime:
22 hours, 12 minutes    Buffer: 1 items (0%)

But in videos, he references folders to the right of the meteobridge info,  yet all I see is white...
I'm sure I'm missing something basic  but I am stumped  and I am all excited to play with weather34.

Feel free to shame me  but help! :-)

Have you changed the SMB password, default is "meteobridge" / "meteobridge" on first start or is your SMB guest access box checked?

Access the SD card folders via \\your.mb.ip\data

Instead of using a browser use the file manager.

\\ip.to.meteo.bridge\data\

I am using Windows 10. I get an error: "The remote device or resource won't accept the connection". I have tried all of the methods listed to no avail.

I can ssh to the meteobridge OK and view the directory structure once logged in. This seems to be a SMB problem from what I can tell.

The "workgroup" on both the meteobridge and my Win10 machine are just "WORKGROUP".

Any ideas on this?

Windows 10 does not support the older SMB protocols by default. Please find more information here: https://forum.meteohub.de/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=13589&p=27815&hilit=windows+10#p27815

Wisely, MS removed SMB automatic support due to security issues.  Unless you like the NSA poking around...

hi to all.I have recently purchased the meteobridge nano sd .. unfortunately I also have the same problem, and that is that I cannot see the folders where the backups are made. I read what you wrote and that is to put in the address bar "http://my ip mb / data" but it gives me an error(Not Found
The requested URL /data was not found on this server.) and I don't see anything. as operating system I have windows 10 and I activated the smb protocol, but nothing has changed ... could you help me to understand how to display the folders ??? thank you so much

It’s not via your browser , it’s file mgr aka Windows explorer of old and
it’s just \\ipaddress\data in that

Bet that does it for you!
Look ma, I answered a question thanks to my elders here!
( to be fair MattK and ConligWX told me that in my own thread  :-). )

I still feel cool helping. Ha!!

Open the Start menu. . ...
Type file explorer into Start. You should see a folder icon appear at the top of the Start window.
Click on. File Explorer. ...

In attached you’ll see file explorer
Highlight /replace all i the top line wher my example says quick access  with:
\\ipaddressof meteobr\data. <enter>
