We mostly see thunder lighting as a threat because we think that it only produce side effects. The lightning does not usually kill people. The lightning helps to fertilize the plants. The atmosphere consist of 70% nitrogen, The nitrogen exist in the form that the plants cannot use. The lightning strike dissolve these nitrogen into water. And it create a natural fertilizer that is absorbed by the roots of the plants.
