Severe weather today (20th) through mid week
« on: November 20, 2011, 01:52:40 PM »
This one snuck up on me as I've been busy with holiday preperations and such.  Anyway looks like a good three or maybe even four days of severe from today though mid week in the mid south.  Already an MD up for the Arklatex for today.  Watch is coming, but initiation seems a few hours out still so I wouldn't expect one immediately.  Tornado threat seems low today, but possible if we can get a supercell out by itself ahead of the front.

I also didnt see this coming...The HPC has us getting a lot of rain this week, but we are out of the severe area for the week

I'd like to be watching the race.  Go Tony!!!  lol  but I don't have control over the TV right now.

Anyway, some stuff starting to fire south east of Dallas, but it looks a bit messy.

Under a brief rain delay, so checking it out now

To get everyone informed, SPC has issued a slight risk for severe storms from Dallas to Little Rock

There is a severe t storm watch up for east TX right now, but no warnings

Jason, I assume ur talking about the one approaching Greenville, TX. This cell dosent look that impressive right now. Like u were saying, it looks too disorganized right now. But Im hoping some action will fire this evening when Im on for good

Still a hole lot of nothing going on right now.  Multicellular cluster east of Dallas that is probably putting down some non severe hail and decent rain, but that's all for now.

Vils in one of those cells have jumped to the 40s, tops now approaching 50K

Well the cluster is kind of in the radar hole now.  Not much excitement this evening.

Not sure if anyone is paying attention, but this cluster north of Dallas is the most impressive today with vils around 70 and tops up to 48K...GR3 indicating 1 inch hail
