2018 A Year in Review - Phoenix, Az

Despite the wet cold ❄️ end to December and 2018 the storm totaled only 0.14 inches bringing December to a mere 0.23 inches of rain which is (0.76) inches below normal and the 4th driest December on record. For the year it was better at 11.55 inches the 7th wettest and 2.01 inches above normal, mainly thanks to the very wet October which had 5.42 inches the 3rd wettest month ever and the wettest October ever. In fact the entire water year Oct 1st, 2017 to Sept 30th, 2018 saw only 5.42 inches!!! We had the 2nd driest Fall/Winter with only 1.59 inches from Sept 1st, 2017 to end of Jun 2018. The only other month in 2018 with above normal rain was July with 2.55 inches +1.49 inches

Temperatures for December were an Average High of 64.3°F and low of 43.0°F and average temp of 52.9°F which was near normal at +0.8°F Officially at Sky Harbor the Average High was 66.5°F, the Average Low was 45.0°F and an average mean of 55.7°F also near normal. Sky Harbor Precipitation was 0.19 inches

For the year Pepper Ridge North Valley had a Mean Max was 85.4°F Mean Min 60.7°F and a Mean temperature of 73.3°F.which was 2.9°F above normal for the year. Precipitation was 11.55 inches +2.01 inches above normal.

The cold continues It was 28.8 °F at 4:42am here in the North Valley before a slight breeze kept it around 30 to 32 the rest of the morning that's the coldest in night in 4 years when it was 27.4 °F on this date in: 2015. The temperature actually first reach freezing at 12:35 am!!

It was 30°F at Sky Harbor the official reporting station their  first freeze since it was 31°F on Jan 2nd, 2015

Even parts of Tucson saw a little snow for the 2nd day in row. Southeastern Arizona is where the storm continued to lingered last night.
