New Davis VP2 spec sheet
« on: June 23, 2017, 09:48:42 PM »
Stumbled across this new specification document (DS6152_62_63 (Rev V 1/3/17)) for Davis Wireless Vantage Pro2™ & Vantage Pro2™ Plus Stations, including Fan-Aspirated Models.

http://www.davisnet.com/product_documents/weather/spec_sheets/6152_62_53_63_SS.pdf

Two bits of information caught my attention:

1) "ISS - Battery Life (NiMH C-cells, Fan-Aspirated)............................Up to 2 years"

[this is the first official document I've seen indicating the original NiCd FARS batteries have been replaced with NiMH batteries.]

2) "Fan Aspiration Rate (Fan-Aspirated only)
...Intake Flow Rate, full sun.................190 feet/min.
...Sensor Chamber Flow Rate, full sun...500 feet/min.

[2.63 x velocity increase due to chamber venturi effect!!!]

Love the flat line of the Vantage pro2 ISS and SHT31's. The other chart says external temperature probe accuracy, not to be confused with the SHT31, this is the stainless probe with RJ-connector.

Here is the PDF for the stainless sensor : https://www.davisnet.com/product_documents/weather/spec_sheets/6475_6477_SS.pdf
