Topic: Tropical Storm/ Hurrican icon not showing in forecast script

All,
  In our area we are expecting TS conditions tomorrow. the forecast script for the 3-day say sthat but the icon is non-existant. I would like to modify the script to be able to show that icon. There is a hurr.jpg available in the images dir. so I can pull from that. I don't know where in the script to modify to get the icon up... Help! Plz!

Yes... I'd found out about those a while back..

Here's the images missing .. just add them to your /forecast/images directory

Do be careful Jim!  I hope all goes well for you as Hanna works up the coast.

I've just updated my carterlake-icons.zip and carterlake-icons-addon.zip with the missing tropstorm and hurr icons ..If folks have the original carterlake icons installed, then downloading the carterlake-icons-addon.zip and unpacking to forecast/images/ directory will bring you up to the current list of icons I've found the NWS uses.

Hi Ken,

Just a heads for everyone on my local NWS Offices' (ILM-Wilmington,NC) names for the Tropical Storm and Hurricane Warnings icons you provided below.

They are tropstorm-noh.jpg and hurr-noh.jpg not tropstorm_noh.jpg and hurr_noh.jpg (note: may be different for other NWS Regions).

Just wanted to let others, especially here know that; again not sure about other Regions. Just found out this AM when the Tropical Storm Warning icon wasn't appearing on my site.

Thanks Tom!  It may be that the ERH uses slightly different icon names than the SRH (where I'd gotten that one from).  I'll add the 'dash' versions to the icon collections too.


D'Oh.. the dash-names are what I'd put in the files, it's my legend above that's wrong.  Sorry about that!!
