WD Metar Help
« on: August 30, 2008, 01:06:32 PM »
Hello,

How do I get the correct sky condition to show on my page www.rockycreekweather.com.  I have WD setup to get the current data from my METAR but it is showing "dry" when it should be showing "partly cloudy".

Thanks!

There's a certain Zen method to getting WD to set the conditions icon.

I'd suggest you try these suggestions and see if that gets the condition icon off the dreaded #5=Dry setting.

Best regards,

Once again Ken, many thanks!  I followed the instructions in the link you provided and all appears to be working as expected!

Excellent!  Glad to be able to help .. it's a tricky business the setup across 5 setup screens.

Best regards,
Ken

Guess I replied to soon :(

It looks as though my Summary Icon on the web page is coming from the Solar Setup in WD.  First, I have no Solar Sensor.  Second I have set up a METAR and it appears to be the correct image in WD but never gets updated to the web site.

All fixed, thanks to Brian (aka Windy) =D>

Here is his feedback, hopefully this will help others.

1 - You need to untick the setting in the Daily Weather Report - User Input screen. This was the same problem as "stormwatch" on this wxforum

2 - Under control panel, solar sensor, you have the switch on there and you have ticked to set the icon from the solar data
you need to untick that and turn off the switch there, then wait for the next 1 minute update

3 - In the control panel, webfiles/webpage setup, real time ftp setup, tick, use the current weather from a metar
