Matt,

wview is pretty good, and free and open source. There is a google group where you might try asking your question. It also has a FAQ. If wview can upload every 30 minutes, I don't see any reason it can't upload every 5 minutes.

Mark, the author of wview puts a lot of effort into it.

wd requires debian - figured that out the hard way..  The general lack of documentation on the NSLU2 version of it is going to prevent me from going any further with it.

Meteohub seems nice - but I couldn't get it to work after the lengthy install process.. so after ANOTHER lengthy install process I'm back to wview...

Still only updating wunderground every 30 minutes.. the forum has a lot of info, but my search yielded this entry from the author:

http://groups.google.com/group/wview/msg/d3f10e89c8d45016

This is the post I saw before that made me think I wasn't going to get more frequent updates to wunderground than what I've got...  I saw in the FAQ that the update speed is directly related to the archive speed, but I haven't found how to change the archive speed yet.. still trying..

You change your archive interval with the Weatherlink software.

I'm not using weatherlink - I'm using wview on a NSLU2.. relatively less-documented solution, all around, unfortunately.

note that these are all free to use programs
hence the reason for no detailed documentation I would say

Got accepted to the wview google group and asked the question and got a quick answer.. the interval I need to change isn't in the software - it's on the data logger unit itself inside the VP2!!!   Who knew!

So - used vpconfig to change the "archive interval" - confusion was because that's also a setting in the wview software..

Hopefully I'll have 5-minute updates here in a sec..  still curious how rapid-fire is possible with the VP2 if the data rate is limited to this archive interval.. :/

Yes, but you use the Weatherlink software to configure the datalogger's archival and calibration settings, then you run whatever software you choose to download the data from the logger.  The Weatherlink software also can tell you about data reception statistics.
