Weather Link has my location wrong on their map
« on: October 14, 2017, 05:05:30 PM »
I used the same coordinates for Davis as everyone else and it puts my station about a mile off from my real location. Any clues how I fix that?

Davis Station requires Decimals and WL requires Degrees, Minutes and Seconds. Maybe this will help..........

Lat/Long in WeatherLink.com has to be decimal degrees. The other way is to logn>My Account>edit and click the Set using map of address where you can move the point marker to the position you require.

That should be the other way around.

When I set up the Station Console, it was in Decimals and when I configured WL and Cumulus software, it was in Degrees, Minutes and Seconds. I don't know if captgadget meant S/W or .comm W/L.......

WeatherLink.com is decimal degrees dDD.dddd° and with WeatherLink (the software) it can depend on which inputs. NOAA setup is dDD° MM' SS". Set latitude & Longitude  is also dDD° MM' SS" but the See results box (On Vantage Console) only shows dDD.d°
