Topic: Hurricane Odile - Cabo San Lucas, Mexico...

We have another major hurricane hitting the Cabo San Lucas area of Mexico. Hurricane Odile is currently a Cat-3 and expected to reach Cat-4 within the next 24-hours. The last update I saw said it was at 130mph which is only 1mph below a Cat-4 level.

The storm is moving NNW and expected to turn more Northwesterly as it moves northward. However, there is a chance it may turn to the NE and move towards the Southwestern portion of the US. Just what Arizona and that area need after the last hurricane a couple weeks ago.

Definitely keeping an eye on the forecast for this one!  It wouldn't be so bad if we got an inch or so over the course of a couple of days, but that storm last Sunday/Monday dropped 2"-3" in about 12 hours and the desert just isn't equipped to cope with that kind of intense rain.  We have a small park area at the SW corner of my development that doubles as a holding area for rain runoff, it was Friday before I was able to see the grass after the last storm - must have had 7"-8" of water collected in there.
