Here, it felt quite similar to the 4.8 quake from the same area that hit in January.  I was sitting in my chair watching TV when I suddenly noticed  a swaying effect going on that lasted no more than 10 seconds. It did not come with a loud noise, so figured it was not centered nearby and was right.   It was certainly not the typical earthquake that comes with a loud thundery, explosive noise and just a fairly mild jolt or two and over with.  I've noticed a couple of those during the last week.  They were only 2.6 in magnitude, but earthquakes that small are quite noticeable when centered under your city limits.

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission’s Oil and Gas Conservation Division has announced implementation of the largest volume reduction plan yet for oil and gas disposal wells in western Oklahoma.

The plan covers 5,281 square miles and 245 disposal wells injecting wastewater into the Arbuckle formation, according to a media advisory issued Tuesday.

In conjunction with the 191,000 barrel a day reduction plan begun in Fairview recently, OGCD director Tim Baker said the total volume cutback for the entire area will be more than half a million barrels a day, or about 40 percent.
Earthquake activity in the region demands a regional response, Baker said in the release.

So, the "...tombstone mentality..." threshold for OK petroleum companies is 5.1-magnitude.
