Happy New Year:

I recently purchased a Davis VP2 from Ryan with Archer Trading, he was very helpful on the purchase end and when I had a problem with my SIM, he handled it immediately.  If you're considering purchasing a weather station please consider Archer Trading, Ryan is outstanding, thank you.

I strongly agree with Livestrong's praise for Archer Trading Post.I learned about Archer on WXForum and was pleasantly surprised to find a replacement solar panel for my Vantage2 on the site. Ryan assured me by email that installation was a snap. Installed today and working smoothly. My 7 year old panel was badly cracked. Today was the first day I could get to the station because of ice crusted snow. Thanks Archer for your speedy service and excellent array of parts.

I just bought a VP2 from Archer.  I was having problems with a low console battery message.  Ryan asked me to ship the console back to him.  Turned out to be a bad battery contact.  Got the console back in no time flat.  He went the extra mile on this sale and made me a very satisfied customer.

What does the "/atp" part of that link mean? I was looking at buying the 6163 from there and it was $1075. When I looked using the link you posted it was $800. How do you guys learn about these deals? I'm glad I stumbled upon it. Thanks.

dpilot83   the /atp takes you to the site with the 'discount' pricing....Davis has a policy about their 'MSRP', so there are sites that you can do a WHOLE lot better on prices, but you have to LOOK and ASK for the better deals....they are out there.      Jack

I have and have no complaints.  Fast service, plus they have parts.  Davis doesn't sell these parts, he does and that is great

Ooh, nice: They have replacement leads for the fan-aspirated shield batteries, complete with battery contacts.  I ended up jury-rigging one of the contacts on my ISS because it was badly corroded, but I'm not happy with the way it turned out.

Yep 5 stars to Ryan.
I ordered a VP2+ - sent to Australia for half the price they are here including shipping - over a year ago now.
He helped me heaps (bent over backwards really) and the end result I bought a second VP2+ for spares (which I have never needed).
And I promise you - 2 VP2+ for the price of one in Australia!
Great customer service.

Yesterday I received what I thought was the UV sensor and it turned out to be a solar sensor. Ryan immediately got a UV sensor ready triple checked to make sure it was the right part and shipped it at no cost. Kudos to Ryan for going above and beyond. He's really one of a kind.  =D>

I ordered the Davis UV sensor last Friday from Archer.  It arrived on Thursday as expected, and now in operation as a new feature on my 2nd home page at http://stillwaterweather.com/wx/2ndhome.php.  As high priced as those UV sensors are elsewhere, Archer's $199 price was too hard to resist.

Today I got the UV sensor and spent the early afternoon hours installing it. Works great! Really happy with the buy.

It hasn't been Archer in several years, but this is our "go to" dealer, Ryan. You're unlikely to find better.
