Model 01515 and rainfall event questions.
« on: February 23, 2013, 07:17:45 PM »
Just picked up a model # 01515 last week and not really sure it will do what I need.  BTW here is a link to it.

http://www.lowes.com/pd_352256-53921-01515_0__?productId=3546552&Ntt=weather+station&pl=1&currentURL=%3FNtt%3Dweather%2Bstation&facetInfo=

It's probably my fault for not doing more research but the rainfall isn't really what I want.  It lists rainfall "events" instead of daily rainfall.  It also list monthly totals and a running total since the unit was installed.  I would rather be able to see the rainfall based on the day.  Am I missing something or will this just not work for me?  I figured I could record each days monthly total and just subtract the prior days monthly total to get daily total but I'm not thinking this will work either.

Any ideas besides getting a different model?

What I've done is linked my Wunderground account with the MBW account - then I just check my Wunderground page. It keeps a daily, weekly, and monthly record.

FWIW, the 1515 doesn't have a USB port to read/upload data.....

What beaudog said - I wasn't very clear about my situation lol! I have the bridge, and it is reporting to MBW and my WU account is attached. The MBW interface is clunky IMO, and the WU interface is much more comprehensive.
