Putting Logo onto your Radar
« on: June 11, 2011, 10:04:02 AM »
Like my previous topic, I have already gone to paint and created the logo. All I need to know is how to implement the logo onto the radar. Can someone help me?

Thanks to everyone, especially Doug who has helped me in these last two threads

What do ya think? I think i'll put it on my avatar.

The F and I dont show well on there because of the yellow precipitation level there.

Could you please update your "solution" post with a link to that faq or description of the process?  That will help others searching for such an answer.

The old chinese proverb states that it is your moral obligation to share what you have learned from others.

Facit solem suum oriri super bonos et malos et pluit super iustos et iniustos.

Springtime in Seattle...  March comes in like a lion and out like a wet lion.

That's fixable by using an dark outline (stroke) around the font and still maintain the transparent background.  I can do that for you, since "paint" won't quite cut it.  What are the dimensions of your logo.png picture?

Sure! I went on paint, and painted a picture. Any kind of picture that you paint will do. The only major thing to do is that when you decide to save it, you must save it titled "logo" and it must be saved as a .PNG file.

Then all you have to do is close GR3 and then reopen it, it is that simple!!! (Though I made it seem really hard)

Here's an example.  (I just plopped it down over a lot of yellow precip to illustrate)

How did you make that? Did you make one over my existing picture?

I just d/l your attached picture and pasted the "new" slapped together banner on it, cropped (just to reduce size) and saved as jpeg just to show you what it could look like with that narrow outline.  If you upload your existing  logo.png I could make a close approximation (I may not have your font) with the border.

I'm using PaintShopProX2
