Why I Love Time Lapse....
« on: April 18, 2014, 11:42:48 PM »
This morning we had a beautiful sunrise.  We are blessed to live in a place that has many beautiful sunrises.  I never take one for granted. I really enjoyed this morning, but didn't think anything unusual was going on.

Tonight when I got home I reviewed the time lapses from today.  This morning I saw beautiful light on the clouds and a (smoky) burn going on over in Useless Bay on Whidbey Island.  http://www.skunkbayweather.com/20140418065902.jpg  Nothing special or out of the ordinary.... This is what I saw with the time lapse.  It almost adds a whole new dimension:

I am not gloating.... I am simply sharing my amazement about how much we miss.  Time lapse technology just provides a whole new set of eyes on the gifts that Mother Nature provides.

Thought I'd share,

Greg

A couple of times it looked like the clouds were trying to go KH but never quite made it.
Your photo captured the cloud (Left of middle) that was trying the hardest to surf like a true KH.

OK so I am not the only one to start a blessed day on the highlight of one of God's most awesome creations - an incredible sunrise.
Well  done Greg!  You are probably starting to "sense" when something "weather spectacular" is approaching.
That aspect of weather "watching" has added so much to meteorology for me.

Thank you for sharing!

Randall
