I hope this is posted in the correct section.
I recently installed a Davis Vantage Pro2 wx station and also installed the Weatherlink IP datalogger. I've set everything to be as accurate as possible, and connected through Weatherlink to have them send my data to CWOP and Weather Underground. The online setup was completed about two weeks ago.
My weatherlink site is here:

http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KCTPLYMO2And my CWOP ID is EW3846
Now the problem is that today November 13, it looked like another station started transmitting from the same location. It says the data is provided by APRSWXNET and the ID is ME3846. This had a transmission from about 11:00am to 1:00pm. The ID is very similar to my CWOP ID. The wind direction is slightly different, but that could be because I just adjusted the anemometer direction yesterday to more accurately abide by the MADIS QC data.
The second WU underground site is here:
http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=ME3846Does anyone know if this was just part of a testing by MADIS or what might have occurred occurred. I'm new to the internet weather data like this, and it just surprised me to see two stations located on top of one another at MY location. I just recently retired my Heathkit ID 1290 analog station and went with this Davis unit.
Thanks for any insight into what might have occurred.
