Topic: Meteobridge browser interface is now openwrt page, no send to WU **solved**

5 days ago, my WU page said the station had stopped reporting.  No power failure, no changes in the network (no one was home).  When I went to the IP address in my browser, it no longer went to the Meteobridge interface, but to the openwrt page.  So I can't tell if its even transmitting data.  The wifi light isn't on the 3020v1 unit, but I have it plugged directly into the router.  I was able to change the ip address manually to a new one, thinking there was an ip conflict, but that hasn't resolved it. I've reset the network, rebooted, unplugged, etc.  It's just weird that the normal screen isn't loading, even when I use my advanced ip scanner to drop into it.   The openwrt page only opens with root as user id.

What happens when you click the button on the top left that reads, "Return to Meteobridge" in the OpenWRT login page?

That is most probably your browser cache. Please close browser and try again or use another browser.
Factory reset is the last line of defence.

Thanks for those ideas, but I've done the factory reset twice.  And I've opened the ip address in browsers I've never used and in safari on my ipad. Still shows that screen.  The problem isn't that the device isn't there, the IP scanner sees it and the openwrt page also is functional.  I just don't know how to use the openwrt page to fix this and can't get back to the meteobridge page.

Then you might flash it again. It is in the openwrt menu structure, something like "system" or so when I remember correctly. Please do not select "keep settings" when doing so.

Docbee kinda helped, at least figure out the problem.

Took a while before I could find the right image to flash through the meteobridge site as the ones there were coming up empty, literally, in my download box.  A little poking around and I found another one.  So I wiped it, and flashed it with the new .bin
 
Turns out you have to pay to access the meteobridge logon screen. I guess my license had expired (didn't think that was possible when I bought this) and had to pay $21 or so to renew it.  I had seen some posts on licenses, but thought that was for updates.  Since my device was the old one, didn't think it was updated anymore.  Turns out the license isn't for the update but the access to the site.

I don't mind paying $20 for two years, but how about saving me the 5-6 hours I've spent trying to research and fix this problem and just putting on the openwrt that the license expired and how to renew it.

See final 3.2 version released May 5, 2017 which explains the update license change as opposed to the operational license, so effectively your license had not expired, just the ability to update beyond 3.2, Up to 3.2 there is no change, beyond 3.2 is at the users own discretion to renew update license for periods of 2 years but deciding not to renew updates does not prevent the MB from running at least V3.2 (for ever)

To make a long story short, your license is fine and you don't need to go for updates, unless you want to.

As you have now again access to the Meteobridge web interface, can we regard the issue being solved?
