Does this model have a battery in the ISS unit like the wireless one?

It looks most likely that is the one I will go for and put it on the roof of the second story.

I'm guessing you already know about proper ISS placement (high enough above the roof peak to prevent turbulence induced anemometer errors & false high temp readings).

I have an old TV antenna mast which is about 2 metres long I plan on using.

Read the guides at CWOP about station placement.
I would split the anemometer and ISS so I can place the Temp/Hydro/Rain at a more suitable location
